GRANNY NEWS 2/11/26 — Frank Ocean, the American singer famous for his line "My guy pretty like a girl," has reportedly purchased a private island very close to Long Beach, California. Multiple witnesses saw a helicopter head to the island while blasting "Lost" off of Ocean's debut album Channel Orange, released July 10th, 2012. While some speculate if this really was Ocean, it was proved when Ocean posted on his Instagram story, "BOUGHT AN ISLAND FOR MY NEXT ALBUM WILL ONLY RELEASE ON MY PRIVATE ISLAND NO TRESPASSING." Screenshots of Ocean's story blew up and were posted to several social medias such as TikTok, X, and YouTube, reaching over 100m cumulative views. Multiple artists and celebrities have commented on this, such as Justin Amash saying on X, "Wow, Frank Ocean releases on an ISLAND? He better have not been taxed on it!" Tyler, The Creator, an old collaborator with Ocean, said this on his Instagram story, "Just bought my ticket!" The album is set to release February 30th, 2026.
